Blaze in derelict building

FIRE crews were called to a fire in a derelict commercial unit in Canal Road, Taunton, shortly before 10pm on Boxing Day.
On entering the premises, they confirmed a small fire involving wooden pallets underneath a floor staircase.
The pallets were damaged by fire and there was smoke damage to the remainder of the property.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the fire service and police.
