A FORMER Queen's College student will appear on a Channel 4 documentary Friday (January 18) night.

Flossy Biss will star in First Time Farmers at 8pm, looking at a new generation of farmers in the UK.

The episode looks at how the teenager stepped up to the responsibility of running the family farm whilst still studying for her GCSEs at Queen’s College.

Although in charge of going to market to buy cattle, medicating the animals and rearing the sheep, the programme will show how Flossy balanced the long days and early starts of lambing season with studying for her exams.

A number of scenes were filmed last summer at Queen’s College, which 17-year-old Flossy and her three older siblings attended.

Flossy? Did her parents want a boy and resent her for it?

Always nice to see the West Country on TV though.
