THESE adorable puppies have been rescued by the West Hatch RSPCA centre near Taunton after they were abandoned in a cardboard box on a country lane.

Kennel supervisor Sue Dicks said it was lucky that the pair were found quickly as they were only around six weeks old.

She said: “The puppies were dehydrated and hungry when they arrived at the centre but are now being well looked after.”

The centre is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is holding its annual Fair and Dog Show today (September 14) from 11am to 3pm.
