BUDDING entrepreneurs are being offered advice to get their business off the ground.
South Somerset District Council (SSDC) has teamed up with Somerset Business Agency and partners from across the county to deliver a free event to help anyone thinking about, planning or having just started a business in South Somerset.
The 'Dare to Dream' event is being held on Friday, October 18 at the Guildhall in Chard - and we'll have a team there offering information about advertising in the newspaper.
Cllr Jo Roundell Greene, SSDC portfolio holder for economic development, said: “The council plan is clear that we will provide targeted support for start-ups and small businesses as well as those with the aspiration to expand.
“By helping our businesses to succeed, we are creating a stronger, more resilient local economy.”
Guest speakers at this event include Jonathan Rice of Samson Office Supplies, Becky Wright of New Leaf Life Design, and Paul Smith of Word Gets Around.
It runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm and is open to anyone interested in starting up or growing their own business.
