CELEBRATIONS of the bravery of British fighter pilots in the Battle of Britain in 1940 were held in Taunton at the weekend.
A service took place at St Peter’s Church, Priorswood, attended by Taunton Deane Mayor and Mayoress Dave and Renee Durdan, Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne, Taunton Deane Council leader Cllr John Williams andmembers of the 41F Air Training Corps and the RAFA Taunton Deane branch.
Afterwards a reception was held at the RAFA Wings Club in Cheddon Road, with a buffet prepared by stewardess Heather Davies.
