A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise awareness of a charity set up in memory of a talented Taunton student.

Jemima Layzell, who went to Taunton School, was just 13 when she died in March 2012 after suffering a brain aneurysm.

The Jemima Layzell Trust was launched earlier this year to support the rehabilitation of brain injured children, to educate people about brain aneurisms and encourage more young people to sign up to be organ donors.

Now, Jemima’s mum Sophy is enlisting the help of hairdressers to spread the word of her daughter’s charity.

Sophy wants every hairdresser in Taunton to display information about the trust and to show their support by encouraging their clients to wear a flower once they have had their hair done.

Other businesses in the area are also backing the campaign. To find out more about the trust, click here
