PHYSICS students at Richard Huish College, Taunton, have achieved 13 awards at the British Physics Olympiad.
The competition attracts more than 1,800 students from across the UK and is designed to stretch and challenge the top young physicists in the country.
The former Uffculme School pupil, Michael Winter, 17, from Sampford Peverell, who has an offer to read physics at Cambridge University, won a bronze award.
Commendations were awarded to Bernie Chao, David Welham, Andrew Dumbelton, Gemma Yu, Adam Crocker, Emily Allen, Leszek Wierzchleyski, Alex Wilde, Ryan Clarke, Shayaan Akhtar, Donny Dai and Tom Roberts.
Many have received offers from top universities to study physics, engineering and related subjects including Manchester, Imperial College University of London, Exeter and Bath.
All the students attended training sessions during their lunchtime, run by Huish physics teacher Barrie Hall.
Mr Hall said: “These Physics students have achieved a great result for the college and show that our students love to engage in challenging physics problems.”
