NINE flats could be built on the site of a former cleaning supplies business in Priory Bridge Road, Taunton.
Taunton Deane Council has given Rowcliffe Holdings permission to knock down a vacant, two-storey, 1930s commercial building at 66-68 Priory Bridge Road and replace it with three one-bedroom and six two-bedroom flats.
A planning application was submitted in June last year, but a legal agreement with the council over issues including affordable housing has only just been signed.
