PLAYTIME will go with an extra swing – literally – thanks to a donation towards the cost of play equipment in Comeytrowe Park.
The Friends of Comeytrowe Park group has been working closely with officers from Taunton Deane Borough Council, local councillors and the Somerset Wildlife Trust to revitalise the park which is now 25-years-old.
Now county councillor Alan Wedderkopp has presented a £2,000 cheque from Somerset County Council’s health and wellbeing fund towards the cost of a new pod swing at the park.
A spokesman from the group said: “We have plenty of plans for the park which is being well used again. The new equipment in the kindergarten play area is a favourite with small children and we are hoping that more equipment will become available shortly.”
