RICHARD Huish College met Rydell High in an electrifying performance of the smash-hit musical Grease at Taunton’s Brewhouse Theatre.

With the leather jacket clad groovy T-Birds and sassy Pink Ladies in their bobby-socks, the high octane Rock'n'Roll party was one not to be missed and could have sold out a third night.

As the love story unfolded between 'bad boy' Danny, played by Tom Kelvey, and 'the girl next door' Sandy, performed by Lucy Byrne, all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie included “You're The One That I Want”, “Grease Is The Word”, “Summer Nights”, “Hopelessly Devoted To You”, “Sandy” and “Greased Lightnin” made the audience want to stand up and shout, “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop A-wop-bam-boom!”

The feel-good show was so popular with budding performers at Huish that it resulted in over 100 students auditioning for a place in the 50-strong cast.
