TAUNTON Deane Council has received a planning application for a 80-home development on land south of Kinglake, off Bishop’s Hull Road, in Bishop's Hull.

It would be accessed via Gwyther Mead and does not propose a new vehicular access from Bishop's Hull Road.

A footpath link is proposed to the north of Greenacres, on Bishop's Hull Road.

Persimmon Homes (South West) Ltd have submitted a range of supporting documents which are being assessed by the council’s planning department and statutory consultees such as highways and the Environment Agency.

The application – reference number 05/15/0011 – is available for inspection at Taunton Deane Council’s offices in Belvedere Road, Taunton and online at www.tauntondeane.gov.uk.

The council is notifying residents that immediately adjoin the application site, those along the access route through Gwyther Mead and those directly opposite the junction of Gwyther Mead and Bishop's Hull Road.

The public has until April 13 to comment on the application, which is slightly longer than the statutory consultation period to account for the short closure over Easter.

Comments can be made by letter, by email or online at www.tauntondeane.gov.uk - those who submit comments will be notified of the date when the planning committee will be considering the application.
