A CHARITY set up in memory of a teenage cyclist killed by speeding motorists has raised £15,000 towards a high dependency unit in the children’s ward at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Jane Hofmeister, whose 13-year-old daughter Amy died after being hit by a speeding car driven by a man racing his girlfriend in another vehicle in 2011, has presented a £5,000 cheque to Musgrove to go alongside £10,000 she handed over last year.
It is hoped the new unit will be opened in the summer.
