BUSES of Somerset has announced slight changes to several routes from Sunday, April 12, to “improve services”.

Among the alterations, Service 7 from Taunton to Galmington will no longer call at Musgrove Park Hospital due to traffic congestion, while a revised route is being introduced in Wiveliscombe for Service 25 to Dulverton due to delays caused by parked vehicles along the existing route.

Service 10 between Wellington and Wiveliscombe is being withdrawn due to Somerset County Council scrapping its funding.

Alex Carter, managing director of First South West, parent company of Buses of Somerset, said: “We are constantly reviewing our services in Somerset and wherever possible, we do what we can to enhance journeys to meet the needs of customers.

“These revisions will further improve services where there have been issues with delays and others will enable us to tailor our journeys to suit the needs of our customers.”
