A GRATEFUL businessman has helped raise cash for a charity that helped him get back on his feet when he was homeless.

Faisal Ghazghazi raised £500 for Taunton Association for the Homeless through a raffle at a boxing event he organised.

Faisal, who ran the session through his company G-Man Promotions, also voluntarily runs a Box Clever training class for people staying at TAH’s hostels.

The aim of the sessions is to keep participants busy and fit and to work towards a goal.

Faisal said: “Homelessness effects millions worldwide.

“I myself have suffered, but have managed to come out the other side and rebuild my life thanks to help from TAH.

“TAH changes lives - they give people the opportunity to build self-confidence and develop skills.”

He hopes to eventually start up his own gym, where he can hold more training sessions and help more disadvantaged people.

He is currently looking for funding to get his project up and running - for more information or to get involved, e-mail faiselghazghazi@yahoo.co.uk
