AFTER their recent photoshoot in red shoes to show their support of Stand Against Violence, the Castle and BRAZZ are continuing their support by making a donation to SAV from the proceeds of their forthcoming Comedy evening on Thursday, May 7.

They have even reduced the ticket prices until Sunday (April 19) to encourage more people through the doors, to ensure the donation is as much as possible.

BRAZZ is the home of Taunton Comedy and compere Geoff Whiting returns again to introduce May’s fantastic acts.

Tickets are available at www.brazz.co.uk/sav-comedy-promo.

Later in the month, SAV will be holding a photoshoot in Castle Green.

Their aim is to paint a picture – a photograph of 99 ladies in red shoes, lipstick and nail polish, followed by an afternoon tea at the hotel.

Tickets to join this event are available at events.the-castle-hotel.com

The comedians taking part are:

Dave Thompson
My quirky comedy has got me work as a stand-up comedian in the USA, Sweden, France, Ireland, Holland, The Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Dubai, Oman, and The Falklands. This in addition to the British “comedy circuit”, including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store in London. I’m best known for being Tinky Winky – the most famous of the “TELETUBBIES”.

Jamie Gosney
The comedy of Jamie Gosney springs from his general confusion with life and his irritation that he ought to know better. His style is cheeky and mostly self-deprecating, although he can become entertainingly enraged about foolish public figures and life’s pettiness.

Rousha Browning
Rousha is a 30 year old born and bred East Londoner, living in London. Her comedy style is observational, personal storytelling, occasionally with a surreal twist, alongside wittily crafted comedy poems (some have described it as beat comedy). Whilst exposing personal adventures, observations and relationships, she’s confident and personable on stage.

Jamie Oliphant
Jamie is a London based stand up comedian, he has been performing regularly for the last 2 years. He has gigged at venues across the country, Edinburgh Festival and student unions.

Geoff Whiting – Compere
‘One of Britain’s funniest men’ – The Radio Times 2013
“Geoff Whiting takes the stage with consummate ease and works the audience like a miner at the coal face, digging out nuggets of information to fuel his comedy.” – Independent on Sunday
Geoff Whiting is an established and popular compere, as well as a strong and versatile act. He has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival, on television and radio and at every notable comedy club in the UK. He is also an established TV warm up.
