Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club captains raise £12,562 for Charity Research UK
TAUNTON and Pickeridge Golf captains Roger Nation and Jill Paul raised an impressive £12,562 for their joint charity Cancer Research UK during their year in office 2014-15.
Funds were raised throughout the year from a large number of organised events, including the club’s annual pro am and the Captain’s Charity Golf Day in addition to which the ladies captain held a musical evening and the club captain organised a charity auction.
Monies raised will be used to assist Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital for trials in both prostate and ovarian cancer research.
