HOLLY Lawrence, a triplet originally from Buckland St Mary, finished second in the Canadian Iron Man 70.3 race.
Holly, 25, currently living in California, came runner up to the world number one in the Quebec meeting.
The event is a qualifier for a World Ironman 70.3 contest in 2016 and she appeared in a similar event at Buffalo Springs, Texas, at the weekend.
Holly's proud grandfather David Baker follows her career closely and says her next race is in Austria in July.
Her mum, Angela Lawrence, works in Taunton.
