Boy on tracks at Taunton Station threatens to harm himself - police rush to scene
A TEENAGE boy sparked a major police alert after he was spotted on the tracks at Taunton Station threatening to harm himself.
British Transport Police were called on Monday evening and several officers from Avon and Somerset Police rushed to the scene.
A BTP spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 7.40pm on Monday, July 20, following reports of a person on the line near to Taunton rail station.
“Officers attended and discovered a teenage boy was on the line threatening to harm himself.
“The boy was removed from the tracks and taken to hospital for assessment.”
