TAUNTON's stretch of rainless days is set to continue until at least Sunday.

The news came in Met Office's latest five day weather forecast, in which the chance of rain for the next three days will remain at less than five per cent.

Taunton's biggest chance of rain is due at around 7am on Sunday, when fog is predicted with a 20 oer cent chance of rain.

In today's South West summary, Met Office said: "Any early localised mist or fog patches will readily clear this morning leaving a dry day with patchy cloud and plenty of sunshine. It will feel rather pleasant in the warm sunshine despite the brisk easterly breeze."

The maximum temperature could reach around 18°C, with temperatures dropping as low 6°C overnight.

Tomorrow is set for very similar weather as the Met Office said: "Early mist and fog will clear through the morning to leave a dry, fine day with winds continuing to ease and plenty of warm sunshine."

The temperature will also peak at about 18°C again.

As for the rest of the week, predictions are that weather will remain "settled through the outlook period, although possibly becoming a little cloudier at times. Dry days with sunny spells will be followed by chilly nights with patchy mist or fog."
