PRIMARY school children had an introduction to basketball with the help of sport degree students from Richard Huish College, Taunton.
Three degree students taught two classes of children at St James Primary School how to dribble and pass, as well as playing a game as part of their event management module.
The aim of the session was to introduce the game and provide pupils with the basic skills and knowledge of the rules and in turn give the students practice in managing an event.
Huish FdA sport student Bethan Stacy said: βIt was a really fun event and all the children had a great time.
"It is fantastic for us to get the opportunity to work with local primary schools and gain the experience we need to succeed in our studies.β
