A WORKER at the Carphone Warehouse store in Taunton stole an iPhone6 mobile phone from the company.
Alex Belsom then tried to sell it for £255 by claming it was his own.
Belsom, 22, of Cotford St Luke, admitted theft by an employee when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.
He was ordered to pay £100 compensation with a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs and received an 18-month conditional discharge.
Belsom also pleaded guilty to fraud by trying to sell a phone he dishonestly claimed belonged to him, for which he was orderd to pay a further £255 compensation.
