POLICE have called off their search for a man reported to have fallen in the River Tone, in Taunton, this morning.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We are satisfied there is no-one in the river and the information we were given originally was incorrect."
CONCERNS are growing for a man reported to have fallen into the River Tone in Taunton this morning, Monday, February 8.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving several 999 calls about the incident near the Viridor offices off Priory Bridge Road at about 8.15am.
The Avon and Somerset Police helicopter has joined in the search.
Police, ambulance and fire personnel are also at the Priory Fields retail park.
