THE disused rail bridge over Taunton's Station Road is coming down today (Wednesday, May 25).
A number of the panels have already been removed and a crane is in position to take down the main structure at some time today.
Scores of people have stopped to watch, photograph and video the action since workers moved in on Monday, closing off a section of Station Road.
A new bridge will be installed later in the year to connect the two ends of the new Northern Inner Distributor Road running from Staplegrove Road and its junction with Chip Lane to Priory Avenue.
Peter Kessler has sent in the following photos of work progressing.
