THE disused rail bridge over Taunton's Station Road has started to come down today as the first part was lifted away this morning (Wednesday, May 25).
A number of the panels have already been removed and a crane has started to take down the main structure.
Scores of people have stopped to watch, photograph and video the action since workers moved in on Monday, closing off a section of Station Road.
If you have any pictures or videos, you can send them to us at newsdesk@countygazette.co.uk
A new bridge will be installed later in the year to connect the two ends of the new Northern Inner Distributor Road running from Staplegrove Road and its junction with Chip Lane to Priory Avenue.
Thanks to Lord Parker Photogrpahy who sent us this timelapse video of the bridge removal earlier.
