A MANHUNT is underway for a driver after fleeing the scene of a crash in Staplegrove.
Police and fire services were called to the roundabout on Silk Mills Lane at around 10.45am this morning after a car crashed into a lamp post.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 10.45am to reports of a vehicle crashing into a lamp post at the roundabout on Silk Mills Lane.
"The driver made off from the scene and efforts are on-going to locate them.
"The vehicle is in the process of being removed."
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival the crew confirmed that there was one vehicle involved and that no persons were trapped. The scene and vehicle were made safe."
