A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after a crash in Culmhead.
The woman and another casualty were both taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton with back and neck injuries.
Two fire engines from Wellington and the rescue tender from Taunton were sent to reports of a two-vehicle crash at 8.35pm last night near Holman Clavel Road.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "On arrival, crews confirmed this incident to involve two Vehicles with one person still trapped within one of the Vehicles.
"Fire crews got to work to remove the roof using Hydraulic Cutting Equipment and Small Tools.
"One female casualty was released from the vehicle and is now in the hands of Paramedics who were also on scene."
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service added: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars just after 8pm on Holman Clavel Road.
"Two casualties, both reporting back and neck injuries, were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton."
