HAVING a nut allergy led indirectly to some early Christmas cheer for 11-year-old Tiana Priest.
Tiana won a £250 shopping spree after unveiling a golden ticket in her Advent calendar on the first day of the month.
Tiana has generously offered to share the prize, to be spent at Smiggle stationery store, in the Orchard Shopping Centre, Taunton, with her sister, Atlanta, nine.
The girls' mum, Marcel Clarke Priest, of Quantock Road, Taunton, said: "Tiana couldn't have a chocolate Advent calendar because she's got a severe nut allergy, but I didn't want her to miss out, so I bought both girls a £28 Smiggle one.
"There's an envelope on the front saying, 'You could be a lucky winner', but you never think there's actually going to be a prize.
"She was pretty pleased with her gift in the first window - a yoyo - but she was so happy when she saw she'd also won the £250 voucher.
"When Atlanta opened hers and didn't have a golden ticket, Tiana kindly said, 'Don't worry, I'll share it with you'.
"They were so excited and on their way to school in Kingston St Mary they were reeling off lists of what they're going to get."
