A HEADTEACHER of a primary school in Taunton is hitting out against vandals who “trashed” a community resource.
Bishop’s Hull Primary School was subject to a bout of vandalism attacks over the weekend of February 3 and 4, which saw school property smashed to pieces.
It is believed a group of children came to the school and threw items around before returning the following night.
Plant pots and signs were broken, including an expensive sign for the school’s Buddy Bench, which the school is hoping to replace through fundraising.
Rachel White, headteacher, said: “Occasionally we get a bit of vandalism, but it starts as children having a bit of fun. This was different. They were picking up things deliberately and throwing them, causing as much nuisance as they could.
“We are supposed to be a community resource, but it is not something to be trashed.”
