PEOPLE are being warned not to leave tools and valuables in works vehicles after three vans were broken into in the Halcon area of Taunton.
The incidents in Barle Place, Hamilton Road and Kershaw Close took place between last Thursday and the weekend.
It is believed a drill was stolen in one of the attacks, which saw windows smashed to get into two of the vehicles, while it appears the third was left unlocked.
Sgt Andy Murphy stressed there is not a huge problem with vehicle crime in Halcon.
He said: "We would reinforce the message that people should take tools and other items out of their works vans overnight.
"And it's a good idea to leave signage saying everything has been removed.
"We believe these were three separate incidents.
"If anyone sees anything suspicious, they should contact the police."
