A RANGE of classic vehicles will be on display during the fifth Taunton Vintage Bus Day.

The family event on Sunday, May 14, will offer free rides around the area on buses of yesteryear running between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

There will be services between the bus station and the West Somerset Railway, at Bishops Lydeard, as well as to Wellington via Sheppy's Cider, at Bradford-on-Tone.

As well as old vehicles going on show at Castle Green, there will be short trips to the Buses of Somerset's Hamilton Road garage - depending on the weather, there are likely to be open-top buses on this route.

A programme and timetable will be available to buy on the day and there will also be stalls selling books, models and other memorabilia.

The Museum of Somerset will be open and is hosting the Tramway and Light Railway Society’s working model layouts.
