ORGANISERS of a sponsored walk are hoping around 70 participants will join in to raise thousands of pounds for the Alzheimers Society.
The Winch Charity Walk sets off from the York Inn, in Churchinford, at 10am on Saturday (April 1), after breakfasting on bacon rolls at the Winchester Arms, in Trull.
There will be stops at the Holman Clavel and then lunch at the Lamb and Flag, at Blagdon Hill, before continuing on to the Queen's Arms, Pitminster.
The walkers will arrived back at the Winchester Arms in the early evening, where they will later hold an auction of promises and enjoy a buffet meal.
Pub manager and head chef Wendy Simms said: "Anybody is welcome to join us on the walk and sponsorship forms are available either from the pub or from the Alzheimer's Society website.
"We are also looking for additional lots to place in the auction of promises."
