'It's a drugs raid - no linked to terrorism' - ongoing police operation in Taunton
POLICE carrying out raids on two homes in Taunton this morning (Thursday) are stressing they are not terror related.
The force has tweeted a message saying: "Officers currently in #Taunton are dealing with an ongoing drugs operation - this is not linked to the terror threat level increase."
The tweet asked people to retweet the message.
The incidents, which are ongoing, are at two addresses in Halcon. Officers are searching the properties. Non-one has been arrested as yet.
Officers are keen to steady people's nerves after the suicide bomb atrocity in Manchester Arena on Monday night, when 22 people were killed in a terror attack.
