I am afraid to say I think Taunton is not the place it used to be.
The council does not seem to listen to what residents of this town need.
How can anyone consider building a hotel in the town to hope the tourists will visit Taunton?

For a start we need a larger theatre that encourages more professional entertainment, places for children and families to play, some varied retail outlets (other than pound shops).
I know there is a recession but spend wisely smarten up the town and above all listen to the residents as at the end of the day they will vote with their feet.
Let’s not make them exit from Taunton to pastures new.
