RUMWELL Farm Shop is throwing an afternoon anniversary chari-tea to celebrate its 20th birthday on June 20, from 3pm to 5pm.

The event, which costs £9.95 to attend, will raise money for the shop’s charities of the year - St Margaret’s Hospice and Escape Support Group.

Anne Mitchell, joint owner of the farm shop, said: “We would like to invite people from the area to our very special Afternoon Anniversary Chari-Tea. This is to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary and to also raise money for St. Margaret’s Hospice and Escape Support Group.

“The afternoon tea will take place in our cafe and will cost £9.95. One pound from each ticket sale will go to St. Margaret’s Hospice and Escape. The cafe will be decorated with table cloths, flowers and cake stands to really give the English afternoon tea feel.

“We will also be hosting a guess the weight of the cake competition for £1 a go with all the money raised being donated to the charities. The person who guesses the correct weight or the nearest guess to the weight will win the cake to take home. The cake will be made by our fabulous cake maker, Sharon Ware, who is also our Kitchen Manager.
