THE heart rate of theatregoers has been going through the roof due to the latest thriller.
But the unscheduled drama isn't taking place on stage at Taunton's Brewhouse Theatre.
The action has been outside - and play fanatics have been part of it.
Bird lovers attending the riverside venue have been tempted to go to the aid of an apparently lost baby seagull.
But their helpful actions have had dire consequences, with the bird's mum protective divebombing them to keep them away from her young charge.
The theatre has now cordoned off an area outside the entrance and posted a warning to customers and passers by.
It says: "Warning - Please don't approach the baby seagull. Mum is very protective and may attack."
Sounds like a film opportunity for someone like Alfred Hitchcock - (have you seen The Birds?)
