FIREFIGHTERS battled to stop a shed fire spreading to an attached property this afternoon (Wednesday).
Fire crews were called to the incident in Courtfield, Huish Episcopi, Langport, at 2.10pm.
Firther 999 calls suggested the flames were in danger of taking hold on the adjoining property.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival fire crews reported one garden shed well alight.
"Crews got to work with one main jet and two hosereel jets to stop the fire from spreading to an adjoining property.
"Western Power was requested to attend due to overhead power lines being involved. Electrics to the property were isolated."
The shed, measuring approximately 10m x 5m was destroyed.
The fire had also spread to the adjoining outhouse, approximately 3m x 8m, which was 30 per cent damaged by fire.
