WORK is conituning today (Tuesday) on demolishing a section of the Perkin Warbeck pub in Taunton.

Part of the back of the building is being taken down to make way for an open-air roof terrace cum beer garden overlooking Church Square and St Mary Magdalene Church.

It's all part of a £1.4 million refurb of the pub, which fronts onto East Street.

The Perkin is currently closed during the work and is set to re-open at the start of October.
