A SMALL collection of politically-themed art is getting people talking in Taunton's Riverside Place.
As part of the Taunton Live Festival, pictures by Year 10 students studying Fine Art at Castle School are displayed in the walkway between St James Street and Riverside Place, and it is fair to say the students have not shied away from controversy with their pieces.
One piece depicts North Korean leader Kim Jong-un as a baby, another shows Jeremy Corbyn with the word 'Unstable' underneath, while one has a modern twist on The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo, with Vladimir Putin in the place of God and Donald Trump as Adam.
Sarah Jobling from Polka Dot Contemporary Jewellery Gallery said: "Lots of people have been stopping and talking and the pictures have certainly brightened up the area. It would be nice to have something out here all the time."
Passers-by Larry and Brenda Fogg were also very impressed.
"I think it is wonderful," Mrs Fogg said. "They are clearly very talented."
Mr Fogg added: "If artwork or graffiti is good, it can really benefit the town. Maybe we could end up with the next Banksy coming from Taunton."
