A TAUNTON woman is starting an online therapy service to help others after experiencing a journey of her own.

Louise McClinktock lost her eye in a glassing attack when she was 21-years-old.

She then started her journey as a motivational speaker, and 11 years later, she is now a neuro linguistic programming therapist, a life and business coach, and director of Team6 Motivation.

She said: “There is a huge amount of judgment in society and it helps to reflect from time to time and listen to how other people have lifted barriers, overcome hurdles and objection to make a better life for themselves and others they engage.

“Resilience and determination is key but just as importantly, compassion for yourself and others around you.

“I have the pleasure of working with so many people who want to reach their goals and achieve success, overcome anxiety and make leaps forward in their lives but there are so many that cannot afford private one-to-one treatment that it saddens me knowing that so many people want help but can’t get it.

“I have clients that have come to me in desperation after waiting so long on waiting lists.

“The NHS is amazing and has its hands full, as do so many charities, and this long wait means that people often borrow money from friends and family to get the help they need but I’m aware that this causes added stress.”

Miss McClintock’s idea is to provide affordable therapy sessions through a messaging service on a smart phone.

A messaging group is created once a client books online, then the therapy sessions are led by Louise on the chat. When she isn’t online in the session, the group can continue chatting and supporting each other.

This provides a space for people to discuss their problems with Louise, as well as other members of the group experiencing similar things.

The therapy sessions aims to tackle issues such as phobias, addictions, grief, anxiety The first session is set to take place on August 14.

Each session costs £10 for 45 minutes, for more information visit team6motivation.co.uk.
