REBEKAH Blake spent more than a year growing her hair - just to she could have most of it chopped off.
Rebekah underwent the hair razoring experience at Hannah's Hairlines, in Ruishton, on Saturday to riase money for a charity.
She has donated the tresses she had chopped off to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for chdlren who have lost their hair through medical treatments.
Rebekah said: "I heard about the Little Princess Trust charity just over a year ago and since then I have been growing my hair to donate.
"I had 32cm of hair chopped off in the hope that it would make a young person who is losing their hair due to cancer a little less scared.
"The support I had from the public, friends and family has been amazing."
The salon held an afternoon tea to boost the fundraising effort and so far donations had totalled more than £500.
Rebekah said: "It would be great to share this story and share the charity to encourage others to do the same."
