RUNNERS have just one week left to register to take part in Taunton 10km.
The run takes place on September 24 but entries close on September 16.
The closing date could be earlier if the limit of 700 runners is reached.
Race Director John Lewis expects all places to go again this year before the closing date.
He said: “The limit is set to reflect the narrow roads on part of the course, traffic conditions and the facilities at Blackbrook Pavilion.
"We feel it’s better to disappoint those who don’t get a place than to compromise safety in any way.”
The race starts and finishes at Better Leisure’s Blackbrook Pavilion and runs through the Holway area before going out into the country via Stoke St Mary and Haydon.
More than 500 of the available 700 spaces have been snapped up so far.
All finishers will receive a bespoke metal medal, and a three day pass to the Blackbrook gym, swimming pool and exercise classes courtesy of Better.
Runners can sign up online at www.taunton10k.co.uk or pick up forms from Blackbrook Pavilion, Wellsprings Leisure Centre, Tony Pryce Sports or Taunton Visitor Centre.
