Firefighters tackle pan fire in block of flats
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to smoke in a block of flats in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Crews found smoke logging on the ground floor of the premises at Oak Court, Cheddon Road, Taunton, at 2.44am.
They traced the source of the smoke to a metal pan left on top of a cooker in one of the flats.
They removed the pan from the oven to the open air and submersed it in water, clearing the smoke with a positive pressure ventilation fan.
