A PREMIER Inn in Taunton has applied for planning permission to add an additional 23 bedrooms.
Owners Whitbread want to add a two-storey extension to the hotel on Bridgwater Road, as well as adding a single storey extension to the adjoining White Lodge restaurant conservatory.
The firm is also asking Taunton Deane Borough Council to approve plans for a minor extension to the hotel entrance lobby and a new entrance lobby for the restaurant conservatory.
The proposals also feature closing the existing restaurant entrance, a new cantilevered canopy, new plant room and reconfiguration of the car park, with 87 standard bays and eight for disabled parking.
There are two further Premier Inns locally - one in Priorswood Road, Taunton, the other in Ruishton.
