TAUNTON shoppers will soon be be able to get their cash out at another location in the town.
Plans to install a new ATM machine outside Argos in Taunton have been approved by Taunton Deane Borough Council.
Argos owners, Sainsbury's, applied to put the new cash point to the right-hand side of the main entrance on the East Street store.
Beatrice Scott says: "It will provide an important banking service to customers visiting the store and those using surrounding shops and facilities.
"The ATM will be located in an area which is well lit, open and in full view of pedestrians aiding natural surveillance."
She adds: "The location, size and scale of the ATM is consistent with the remainder of the shopfront and will not have any adverse visual impact on the site or surrounding area.
"The facility is required to meet modern customer expectations and complements the retail offer. The proposed ATM will not harm the appearance."
