POLICE are hunting a Taunton man due in court earlier today.

David Woolridge had been remanded in custody in Melksham in relation to suspected drug offences.

He was taken to Bath Royal United Hospital last night as a medical precaution.

But he escaped from police officers as he was leaving A&E.

He ran off in the direction of Coombe Park at around 5.40am this morning.

As well as links to Somerset David Woolridge has connections to Plymouth.

He is white, tanned, about 5ft 7in tall with straight black shoulder length hair dyed brassy at the ends.

He was last seen wearing a beige long sleeve top and skinny jeans.

He has a number of tattoos including a black butterfly on his spine and a coloured tattoo on his left palm resembling a butterfly.

David Woolridge, aged 21, is not described as violent.
