OF course you can't spot anyone in these two photos taken beside the River Tone, in Taunton, at 6am this morning (Monday).
But that's the point - it's a potentially dangerous situation if you can't see anyone or where you're going.
Concerns have been expressed about faulty lights in the area outside The Brewhouse Theatre and alongside the river on the Morrisons side.
Adrian Gridley has reported several of the street lights being out during periods of darkness.
He labelled the area "the black hole of the town centre".
Taunton Deane Borough Council has admitted there's an ongoing problem with the lights, which are repaired regularly.
It's caused by connection boxes below ground fusing when the water table is high.
The council hopes the problem will be sorted once the Coal Orchard area is regenerated.
