FLYERS announcing the opening date of a new supermarket have left the giant chain embarrassed after the location was spelt wrong.
The leaflets have been put through the door of some Taunton residents detailing the home of Taunton's new Aldi store.
It says: "Something amazing is coming to your neighbourhood.
"Your Aldi Taunton store opens 8am, Thursday, November 16.
The new supermarket's location is then given as "Bridgewater Road", Taunton, TA2 8BA.
The new supermarket in Bridgwater Road, in Bathpool, will open next Thursday (November 16).
The new premises has been built on the site of the former J&K Aquatics, which has relocated to North Petherton.
Around 50 jobs have been created by Aldi.
A spokesman for Aldi, whose closest store is in Bridgwater, said: "We’re looking forward to opening our new Taunton store on November 16 and helping the community to shop and save closer to home."
Officers at Taunton Deane Borough Council had recommended refusing the company's planning application, but were overruled by councillors after members of the community strongly supported the scheme.
