THE MAN who died on the A358 after being hit by a car has been named.
The Coroner's Office has named the pedestrian as 25-year-old Vytautas Lazauskas.
The man was walking with three others at around 11.40pm near the Folly Drive junction in Stewley, between Taunton and Ilminster.
The inquest was opened this morning (Nov 16).
Avon and Somerset Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident.
A spokesman said: "Collision investigators were called and the road was closed for examination of the scene.
"Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have been driving along the A358 at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries."
