WORK to bring down a multi-storey office block is nearing completion.
Quantock House, in Paul Street, Taunton, has been virtually razed to the ground by a demolition team.
Work will start early next year to build a care facility on the site of the building, which used to house Government offices for the Valuation Office and Defra.
The 1960s structure had been vacant for a number of years prior to the demolition work.
The new scheme will feature a nine-storey, 60-bed care home and 61 extra care units.
