MOTORISTS in the Taunton area can get 10p a litre off when they fill up at Morrisons.

The supermarket is running a Black Five Days Fuel promotion that could see drivers getting a full tank of diesel or unleaded saving £5.

The scheme runs from today (Monday) until Sunday (November 26) - but there's a slight catch as you have to spend £50 in store to qualify.

The move comes as experts predict fuel prices could rise by up to 8p a litre before Christmas following an increase in the cost of oil.

Motorists will be keeping their fingers crossed that Chancellor Philip Hammond lays off fuel when hs announces his budget on Wednesday.

Steve Mosey, Morrisons services director, said: “Motorists could face a triple-whammy of rising petrol prices, extra fuel tax and a busy Christmas shopping season so we’re doing what we can to help them afford to run their cars.”

Customers spending £50 or more in Morrisons will get a voucher offering them 10p off a litre of fuel, which must be spent by Sunday, December 3.
